I am curious as to whether anyone out there...

...yes that includes the untold number of people that lurk on this board but never post anything...

...has tried to implement a search for a devout Christian (non-Catholic) or a devout Catholic bride?

Feel free to email me if you prefer not to post.  For those who don't know, (my) email is available to members by clicking on (my) user name.

As a side note, I did contact Christian Singles Registry, which is a correspondence service... I was DEEPLY saddened with the "tone" and "content" of their promotional audio CD and would not recommend them based on that.  If their service is reliable or not, I will likely never find out.

Gracias

L4W,

The furniture store employee that I referred to in an earlier post is a devout evangelical Christian.  There are many LW who have faith in the Lord.

I recall you saying something about this furniture store employee, but I do not know any details.  Can you tell me more about her.  Is she in Medellin?  I am just curious.  I also am a Christian man.

The lady I was referring to I saw walking on the street and I followed her a short distance to discover that she worked nearby.  Later in the day I paid her a visit and we started dating shortly thereafter. (Yep, the Paisas are that friendly and many are open to meeting a gringo.  It helps that I am a stud muffin but thatīs a different story. Lol)

I think you wonīt have too much of a problem finding a lady to your liking in any Colombian city.  Iīm partial to Paisas after spending time here.  It just takes time and effort with a little good fortune mixed in.  Keep your hopes up.

So wait a second? If you are a devout Catholic, you are not a devout Christian? I am missing something here.

"devout Catholic".  Catholic is certainly Christian.  to more precisely differentiate, I used "evangelica".

Hi Utopia,

I did not write that post, but I believe he was simply referring to a Protestant believer, instead of a Catholic.
I do not believe that he meant to slight anyone who is Catholic.  I myself am Protestant, and I can understand why he might want to inquire about any latinas with similar beliefs.  Take care.

I rarely give advise, but in your case I will.I will forever be greatful to Conquistador for this advise because by following it, I found my future wife! I anticipate being married in April or May. So here goes:

First of all join Match.com-South America (Amigos has also been suggested by others). It's $29.95 for six months. If you don't have a digital photo, go to any photo studio and have one made.($10 at Walmart) Write up your profile and the type of help mate you are looking for before you join Match.com-South America. If you don't read and write spanish, use AltaVista-Babel Fish Translation. Write your profile in english and translate it into spanish. Then use cut and paste once you are on Match.com-South America web's site. If you don't speak or write spanish at all, of course request an english speaking devout Chrisitan lady. However, be forewarned Babel Fish only does a fair job. For instance if you use the word glass(as in drinking glass), it may translate that word into spanish as vidrio(which is window glass). However, it is an excellent tool and is invaluable if you are weak in spanish.

I believe you will probably find a real lady of quality through Match.com-South America who is busy working 12 hour days 6 days a week trying to support herself and perhaps her children. Many of these hard working latinas have to carefully arrange vacation time to even meet you. If you think you can just fly into town and have them drop everything and spend 1 to 2 weeks with you, well you are very nieve. Do you realize for every latina who has a job, there are 100 people in line for it. If they loose their job, it is a disaster! These women risk everything when they agree to marry you and move to the USA. If they return to South America, there is no job nor future for them. Good Luck and God's Speed!

Very good perspective on the scarcity of jobs in LA and why women can't drop everything just because you decide to come to town.

I did not search for a devout Catholic but I ended up with one. All I can say is, it's a good thing that I am Catholic too.
