Hi

I finaly had the last straw with my wife tonight and after 18 months of a mostly bad marriage, i have finaly decided i need to seek a lawyer in Cali if possible to file for divorce.

I live in Norh Carolina and it takes 1 year to obtain a divorce. My wife has been living in Cali since November and i would prefer a quick divorce there . I deserve better then what she gave me and with the visa process if i had to do a divorce here in NC , it would be almost 2 years before i could eve Get a woman here on a fiance visa.

Any of you guys that have been through this before know an honest lawyer in Cali that could help me? Also, anyone that has been through the process there , i would appreciate it if you could run me through the process. You could even email private if you woud like.

Thanks

Thanks for the information guys. I suppose this is something that is going to need to be done in person and cannot be handled by FedEx with Appostiles Huh My spanish is pretty good, but do either of them speak english, or should i bring a translator. When it comes to legal matters, i do not want to misunderstand any wording.

Thanks Again

I know Deyanira as well and don't recall hearing her speak English. Yusti doesn't either.

Thanks for the information. I will keep everything until i go to Cali and handle all in person. It is just too important a step to handle from here in the States i think.

A Cali lawyer who was highly reccomended to me by friends here is Carlos Alfonzo Yusti at Calle 10 #5-13 Edificio El Caleno in El Centro. T:8800094. He is not connected with the marriage agency scene. I don't need a divorce so far but before I got married I had a long talk with him (gratis, he only charges for actual services) about pre-nups, socios, pension liability etc. and divorce should it ever come to that. I left his office with the impression he is honest, professional and knows his stuff.

I used Deyania Llanos Muņoz to get my divorce in Cali. She wanted to charge me $800 but I told her I already had an other lawyer lined up to do it for $300 and she said OK.

I took me all of 20 days to get an uncontested divorce.

You can call her at 665-0881 in Cali or stop by her home at Avenida 4B Norte #37A-40, La Flora.

My mistake. I should have introduced myself as Calipro. Anyway I'll be back in Cali in about 7 weeks. Maybe we'll run into each other again.
