That's all. That's why he did what he did. Also, he doesn't realize that he revealed his thoughts about "blacks and how they should collectively behave".

He doesn't understand that people need to see themselves as people first, and be responsible for their own behavior, and not let the collective dictate how they live, and act from time to time. There are many people like that, and when they have education they think they can shift their weight around.

He talks likes a Borg....."the collective." Well, I don't want to be assimilated. I'm a free thinker.

let your personal grudge against me get the best of you. You started to post this crap about apologizing for my behavior, and being embarrased of me. You're a fool. I could never put any trust in you.

I think you need to look at youself in the mirror. What do you see? A black man? A man?

When I look in the mirror I see a man. And when I reflect on my behavior on this board, I see a normal young guy who wants to BS a little, and get's carried away sometimes, but for the most part....RIGHT ON THE MONEY !!!!

Mr. Douglas to you.

Aaron, I do not have a personal grudge against, nor do I  feel anything personal towards you.

I realize I put too little sarcasm in my original post, but its thrust is sincere.  What I see in the mirror is irrelevant.  My life experience in a White dominated society has taught me that what the mirror shows me and what the average White American sees are two completely different things.  Travel to LA has confirmed that what Latinos/as see and what White Americans see are also two completely different things.

You are very fortunate to have grown up in a more idyllic society than I.

original post was to discredit me by making the argument that I acted immature. And you did it in such a way that made you look like a total clown. I knew exactly where you were coming from because I've come across your types before, and I know how to get around them. So, I responded to you, and I was totally sincere. I was being totally diplomatic in my response. Brazilophile, you fail to realize that there are many whites that are sensitive to discrimination and racial prejudice, some post here; and they take offense when people like you make collective statements and generalizations that if they themselves would make, they would catch hell for.

Just imagine James apologizing for Charles Manson, "saying on behalf of himself, and all the white race, he apologizes for Charles Manson. And that good white citizens don't act like Charles Manson". As if, whites or blacks are not succeptible to bad behavior at times.

How would you or I look like apologizing to to whites about Kobe Bryant, Rev Jesse Jackson, Mike Tyson, OJ, or Al Sharpton? In my opinion, they're all fools, and by no means do they reflect me, and how I think and behave.

You're filled with bias, and you need to look outside of youself, and see how other's view things.

James,

You make excellent points. Thank you. Also, I just want to point out, that we agree on many issues. And anything that we disagreed about in the past was about something minor.

Take Care,

you feel that I embarrased black people, I tend to disagree. You see Brazilophile, I see myself as a human being first, rather than a BLACK human being. And if I embarrased anyone, I should say I embarrased MYSELF... that's if I embarrased myself in the first place.

Brazilophile, we are all human beings, no matter what color we are, we all have our own ways, attitudes, faults, strengths, and weaknesses.

I am not perfect. Yes, I may be educated, but I'm not perfect. And of course my posts in the past two months may show that.

But, I'm human, and other posters here are human, too. And make mistakes.

Race isn't an issue for me. It's something that I'm aware of, but it isn't the first thing I think about in the morning.
