This one's a real tear-jerker.
Moral of story - if ever in an accident or "bumped" never stop - especially in a rural area, preferrably keep driving to the nearest policeman if in town.  Driving anywhere in the countryside in a recent model "Land Cruiser" is really asking for it.

This is article shows what I have been saying about Colombians for awhile.

DO NOT FEEL SORRY

Instead of helping to solve the problem in "the country they love so dearly" , she fled to a condo in Key Biscayne ,Miami.

Ask yourself , how many of you have a condo in Miami, a house/farm in Colombia, a few hundred thousand or more in a bank (probably a foreign bank)?
Also ask how many Colombians?

Here is a person making the eqiv of $4800 US dollars a month in Colombia, which is like making about 120,000$ here annually in the US.

If you want to feel sorry , feel sorry for the driver guard who was killed driving her Toyota Land Cruiser.

Instead of help solving the problem, she "flees" to Miami.
Yes, if she stayed life would be difficult, mnay sacrifices.
Instead the Colombians flee with their money to the US.

PS-
ACES nows flys direct to Ft Laudardale  Palm Beach Area airport.
ACES has been a great benefactor of the conflict in Colombia.
Isn't nice so many Colombians now live in Palm Beach and Ft Lauderdale,, how many of you can buy a house there???
BIG BIG BIG money in play here.
No wonder the conflict never ends in a country the size of Texas.

I meant "happy ending" in that she was reunited with her folks - absolutely the driver was unfortunate.  I did notice that she said she'll never return to Colombia - and I can't blame her for that after her ordeal (I know of a couple colombianas that think the same because of similar experiences with their family), and I can't blame her for raking in that much salary (kind of wondered how in the heck she managed that though).

The other possibility (if the windows are "polarizados") is they'll think you're mafiosa.
