For some reason I can't feel sorry for the women involved.  If there truly were 50 women who thought they were this guy's fiancée, then I have to question whether they were paying attention to any red flags.  Common sense will tell you with 50 fiancées and a job in Afghanistan, he couldn't have had much face time with any of the women, so they shouldn’t have been so quick to assume the seriousness of the relationship.
