In case you missed it, the Miss Universe pageant is only the tube NOW...

Miss Dominican Republic is incredible...

Of course, Miss Colombia is no slouch...

What an absolutely beautiful girl!  The other Latinas were quite beautiful, especially Argentina and Colombia.

I leave for Colombia on Thursday, will be gone for a month, am planning to spend 3 weeks in Bogota with Odee and LAI and at this moment, probably a week in Cali.  I haven't bought tickets yet from Bogota to Cali.   Since I'm 50,and  based on my interests and preferences, I might meet more age 35+ educated women in Bogota then elsewhere.

I want to thank all of you that responded to my posts for your encouragement and advice.

I will file some reports with PL either when I'm in Colombia or when I return in mid July.

If you are planing on staying three weeks in Bogota, You'll be arriving in Cali on the 26th of June. I'll be arriving the same night only probably much later than you. I plan on staying at the Intercontinental while TLC is in town. I'll see you around.

I would say something was wrong looking at the women they picked for top 15.  to many of them were very skinny.  Thats why I like latin women.  More curves

Amelia Vega Miss D.R. has alot of curve, but she is 6'1"
Check out her video on the pagent website.

You should see her do a runway model walk, just breath taking

Its hard to pick any one girl and say she will win.Did you watch some pre contest media stuff?  Sometimes they will focus on the people likely to win.
But some of the girls selected in the top 10 I said no way,somebody is blowing smoke up someones politically correct butt.
I tought Miss Bolvia was cute.Light years ahead of miss Japan,and she didn't make the top 15.Some judges credentials were being soap opera actors.
The good news.There is no shortage of beautifull girls in latin america.You can actualy find girls as pretty as these at agencies.Far better than some of them.Not these particular girls,they are from  the elite class.
Latin America always seems well represented.

There was loads of runway modeling , in the days preceding and Miss DR just blew away everyone.

My wife and I both picked D.R. to win when we saw her on the Telemundo pre-show.  I think Miss Colombia was pretty if you saw her on the street but no way was she Miss Universe material or for that matter Miss Colombia.  Argentina was completely overlooked and Miss Venezuela was over-rated IMO.  Miss U.S.A. wasn't particularly attractive although she appeared to be articulate.  

Anyway, D.R. was a good choice.....

I don't really follow pageants etc and a few years ago we were all speculating on who would win. I checked out miss DR and she wasn't that great and didn't even look Dominican. This year, the girl was incredible. Of course all the Colombia nuts here were being a bit "partial" he he he he.

The girl is 6 feet tall as well. I like!

She's from the elite class,you wouldn't catch her at an agency.But you can find girls as pretty.They might not have their runway walk or their charm school down but good looking they are.
Some girls looked anorexic in their bathing suits.Ms Dominican Republic was one of the only hot ones here.You can find better bodies than most of them  at Chipi Chapi.
