Should I tell my pen pals that I have other pen pals, if for no other reason than to just be open?

Do you think she would tell you about others? I have a friend, Rodelie, who requested some copies of a photo I took of her is HK, why? She wanted a photo of herself alone, not the photo with us togetther. I asked her why and she said "I want a photo of myself to place on the wall". I mean this ain't no graduation photo, so why hang it? WELL, her good friend, Star, calls me with a surprise letter that Rodelie had given her to mail. Star thought the letter was addressed to me, but it was not. It was address to Rodelie's other Penpal. Now this is ok, but to use the photo that I took, I purchased, and I sent, and give this to another guy is low class, ageed?

I also paid for her calling cards every month to call me, I sent her 200 minutes per month (internet), and she only called me around 100 minutes, and you guessed it, she was not calling mama back home with the remainder of the minutes.

Yes I have been back, yes I confronted her, and yes I am involved with Star, but for how long.

use good judgement, write many hope for best

I agree with the Mog. No need to tell them unless they ask or maybe when things start to get a little more serious, like when you are planning a trip over.

Just tell them:

"Maribel, you are the weakest link. GOODBYE!"

If the gentleman has signified in ANY way his intentions for a deeper relationship (even if it is in the future), then it would be very unfair for him string other females along  (even under the guise of penpals).

But, I am speaking for myself....and these rose-colored glasses of mine keep getting in the way.  *S*

Believe me,  for some of us women, we know when to scoot and disappear into oblivion when we know that we are not the ONLY one.  *S*

Remember,  if YOU gentlemen look for that one real thing...some of us, do, too.

May, you say you know when to scoot but many people have scooted there selfs right to the grave alone! Maybe sometimes you scoot to soon? My self I like to become friends first... If its ment to be things will progress. I have a lot of friends I really don't look at as ok which one am I going to pick. A true friendship should last through just about anything. It takes two to tango! Two people pick each other. I don't look at it like shopping for socks lol  If its just one person doing the "picking"  then thats not true love in my book.
ok I'm babbling again but I think maybe you know what I am saying.  Humm

May,
I would have written to more if I hadn't started getting sick from lack of sleep from spending so much time writting.  Guess I went a little wild when I saw all those beautiful, exotic faces in the catalogs!  LOL  I never have been a big supporter of moderation.

Awwww, com'on May, those rose colored glasses will only help you to read all those piles of letters from eager American gentlemen!  With your looks and personality, it's a shame not to let some lucky guy be your lifetime companion.  Smiley    May I ask if you have ever tried having pen pals?   I'm in a nosey mood today.

It's good to have more than one penpal. But be sure
that you are  not going too far. You  should explain that
friendship is the core. Some Filipina thought that if you
have penpal it means already a future husband. But, if
you don't want to hurt anybody you should be open to
everybody and tell them the truth that you want them to
be your friend ( by then you are starting to select).  If
time comes and you are about to visit Philippines and
you have to meet all this girls then tell them the truth.
Don't hide anything coz it will create trouble n both
parties if you are not going to tell...either you loose your
choice or  she will loose you.  I guess you know what  I
mean. You are old enough to decide for yourself and
old enough to figure things like this.  But sometimes
there are matured people who thought they are
matured but then they still sucks!  Just remember to be
responsible and be honest in all your intentions and
actions. So everybody will be happy. Isn't that nice?

Yes, I think you should. Chances are, she also has several other penpals. If you are writing to more than 10, I'd "down-tone" it a bit, just say you are writing to a few...
