So are we having fun yet? I was hoping I could amuse a few of you guys with my screw ups…
So day two comes around and I’m starting to relax a little. Just sit back on my dates, take it easy and let things come along as they naturally should. I’d ask a few questions about how they felt about coming over to meet me, and why they joined the agency. I really wanted the experience to be fun for both of us and not feel like a job interview. I’d make a few jokes and unintentionally really massacre the Spanish language. My terrible Spanish never failed to make them smile.
In the previous post I talked about an expensive dinner with Monica. Well I’m going to spill the most embarrassing and dumbest thing I did all the 1st week. I just have to laugh now. So, during my 1st week I really wasn’t keeping track of my dates, and just kind of going with the schedule. Well this pretty girl shows up for a date about 5 days after the infamous nausea dinner. I sit down with her and Ingrid, the same translator that I took out that infamous night with Monica. Well the three of us sit down and I start to chat with her a little and ask a few questions through Ingrid trying to get to know her a little better. All of a sudden, Ingrid gets this crazy look on her face and whispers to me, “you don’t remember her do you?” I said Que Que… LOL The secretary had accidentally scheduled a second appointment with Monica, and I didn’t even remember her. I just couldn’t imagine that I could have dinner with a pretty girl and not remember her a week later. Monica spoke no English, and I asked Ingrid to help me extricate myself from this little precious moment. I was really late for my siesta! So, I still can’t figure out how I could have forgot her that quickly. Maybe that is how you know when you have dated too many girls in a week. I was up to about 18 at that point…. Or, maybe more likely she was just simply forgettable.
