Yesterday the Cali soccer team "America" beat Medellin.There was all this yelling "America,America",I didnīt know that was the name of the team untill my wife told me.
They never miss an excuse to party in Cali and noise and fireworks were going off most of the night.Some of the explosions sounded more like dynamite.Some people were still drunk this morning.
Sunday we drove down Avenida Sexta.The street was full off people,watching the game on TVīs in windows.There was such a crowd it looked dangerous.My wife said to roll up my window because someone might throw a drink in your face,one of their little games.Cali won that game also.We were driving down toward Unicentral and there was a big group celebrating on one side of the road and police in riot gear on the other side.From the sound off it last night they probably moved in.There were alot of sirens going off.
I think they just like a little cheap intertainment.The "Apre Soccer"
is a bigger deal than the game.
And they say gringos are crazy.
