For some of you guys who may be looking to go down to Colombia (or other Latin countries), I would really encourage you to learn how to salsa dance.  The Latin women love to salsa dance, and it is probably the easiest way to meet women in Latin America.  And if you are somewhat good, your life will be much more pleasurable... Smiley

Latin women are very different than their AW sisters when it comes to being open to dancing.  In the clubs you will find groups of women sitting together or whatever, but don't be intimidated like you may be with AW.  The Latinas will almost invariably dance with you, unlike AW.

I used to get the impression that when you asked an AW to dance, you had to have some super suave line or something...don't really know how to say it, but it seemed like they were instantly sizing you up for marriage or BF material. With the Latinas, it is what it is...dancing...no big deal.  But, they take their dancing seriously and may not always want to be dancing with a bobo who makes a fool of himself (and her) on the dance floor.  Sure is an easy way to break the ice.

My wife and I have been going to some salsa clubs here in Dallas that have big SA crowds.  I am amazed at how easy it is for guys to approach even the most intimidatingly good looking women for a dance, and are obliged.  I can only imagine what a weapon it would be for a single gringo down in Colombia!

In fact, I would put Salsa dancing down as #2 behind speaking Spanish in terms of 'tools' to help you have fun and meet women in South America.

I am still not where I want to be, but my wife is teaching me.

Good luck,
Mike
