I pass the interview for my  unconditional permanent residency last November 12 in Chicago.I'm not sure if you call it interview because all they ask me is the phone number of our home and thats all.I'm kind of worried the night before we leave for chicago because my baby got sick.He got fever 103.6 and bring him in the doctor. The doctor advice to postphone the trip but we never say anything.I been waiting for this interview for over two years and no way we postphone this.Good thing my baby fever down into 98 the next morning. They drew blood from my baby for testing if he have some infection but never found any, his white blood count is normal.I was all panic because my baby never had fever before.I feel like I'm about going crazy. Thanks God he is all well now.Maybe he catch some flu bag or maybe because he is teething.
We enjoy our stay in Chicago. We stay in  hotel in downtown area close to Sears Tower.I'm from illinois but this is my very first time in Chicago. We visit some museum there and plan to go back there again for vacation soon maybe summer time. Now that I got my permanent residency I can now travel to Europe next year and Mexico.2005 would be time for  us to visit in Philippines.Raquel

Hi Feb,

That sure was a short "interview!" I think a baby is probably the best evidence of a relationship. I'm glad to hear that he is OK now.

Congradulations on obtaining your residency. Glad your son is better, too.

How long did it take them to process your I-751?

Thanks,

Wow Feb! Over 2 years to adjust status?

At least now you don't have to go through the Removal of Conditions. That's great!

Three more years and you'll be eligible for citizenship :-)

My wife's interview only lasted a couple of minutes too. Sometimes it's very obvious to the interviewer who is married and who isn't. I lived outside of Chicago for several years and really liked the city when I was there and I also visit several times a year on business. The museums and resturaunts are great. It sure is different from where you live though. Were you there for the big storm that hit a couple days ago?

Jeff,
Yes we were there when the storm hit Chicago. We thought the wind will blow us to  lake michigan.I never thought lake Michigan is that big. Before we go there I keep telling my husband that if we have time we  go to Michigan I thought it's like   Illinois and St. Louis Misouri which divided by mississippi river.I forgot lake and river were different. I can't beleive how big is that lake look like ocean to me.Yah it's completely different from where we live.I guess people in Chicago or some big city if they visit our countryside they would thought that this place is wilderness.I got stiff neck from looking on that sky scriper building.Chicago reminds me of Manila lot's of people walking on the street. They even have certain smell like Manila. There are some crazy driver there too. They run on red light and honk thier horn.I like chicago but still I prefer to live in isolated place like our place here.raquel
