Hi y'all! I hope everyone is doing fine. I just wanted y'all
to read this email I recieved from a Filipina today.

I have had the worst luck writing Filipinas. Jay's great advice
to me is just to go there instead of trying to write first.

Well, here is a Filipina I wrote to via lavalife; her nickname
is IRE and one can go in as a guest at www.lavalife.com and
search by the nickname of IRE under the relationship section
and see her picture. Her picture is available for guests to see
at lavalife, so I don't see any problem with me giving this
information out. Please Patrick, if it is, please edit accordingly.

And here is a part of her email from me a few weeks ago:
"my father is a retired pastor and he is now in
america working. soon i will be there, it just takes time coz it's
not that easy for us to go there though i would really love to.
my mother also is with my father in maryland together with my sister"

That was February 6th, and I didn't hear from her until this email
today:

"hi, you know i don't know how to tell you this but i'm really
in trouble now. i have the biggest problem in the world. i know
you cannot just trust me since you don't know me that much. but
my problem is abot money. i'm so sorry to tell you this. it's up
to you if you will help me or not. it's just that i owe somebody
last year. it cost like 250 in dollars. my problem is she's gonna
sue me in court and that would be tomorrow. i don't know what to
do. it's just that i'm expressing to you my problem. i don't know
if this is right but i don't know. i think im just really so helpless
now.  can you help me? if not, i can't blame you, i mean you
have the right to say no. but if you can i would really appreciate
it. i will just pay you when i get there. you can send it through
western union. my full name is xxx xxxx xxxxxxx. my address
is xxx, xxxxxx, xxxx xxxx. please, i badly need your help.
tomorrow would be the deadline. i don't know what to do.........
here's my mobile phone number if you want to let me explain it to
you in details.. xxxx-xxxxxx i'm sorry. you just happen to
be the person i have to approach to. i don't know. i'm just doing
everything i can...... i hope you can help me, i beg you......"

The above email is what she sent me, complete, except for the deletions of personal information.

As I wrote Jay, my Southern upbringing requires me to say and write
all the good about folks.

Well, this young lady had previously written me stating that she
was desperate to get to America. She applied for a tourist visa
and was denied. She is a singer by profession, and a member of
the 7th Day Adventists. She is a good Christian lady.

So again, I ask the gentle readers of planet-love to please write
their thoughts about this. I would certainly appreciate it, and I know
the new readers would too.

Thanks everybody, and have a great day!

PS-I don't have the money to send her, but if any readers have some
extra cash, please feel free to join lavalife, and to message her,
so that one can western union her the much needed cash! Salamat!

well, what can i say...but this is just one of those SCAMS that, unfortunately, some of the pinays do who are disperately wanting to come here in the US. i am a filipino and from Butuan City. i am now married to a filipina and happily living with her here in the US.

heck! if she's from Butuan I might know her family..hehehhe..
dude, find somebody else...also, here's a HINT for you:

if someone you just knew and never even met her/him, especially in the PINAS, and asks help financially, then i would suggest to not even respond to her...what the hell!

My wife is from Butuan City also.

In fact, we'll be going back there in just a few weeks.

Oh..oh...
Here's another one again up to gold....he.he..
Her court drama is not convincing, if she really did owed that worth of money well it's her problem to pay for it.
Ha..ha..a desperate woman to come to America?
It's not a good sign, and also a singer by profession?
She should take lot's of gigs to be able to pay her own craziness.

Matt,

I looked at that Web site www.lavalife.com and I think I know what your problem is. You’re picking out the hot looking chicks with big boobs (LOL). Maybe you should try the “not-so-hot-looking ones”, like maybe BACUIT25 (LOL). Or maybe a cute lady like AMIABLE25, who looks nice with a great set of legs, but is a little bit on the short side :-)

Also, for your profile, say you are an unemployed farm laborer, homeless, planning to relocate to the Philippines, and submit the ugliest photo of yourself that you can find. That will keep away some of the gold-diggers and green card sharks :-)

Seriously though, after browsing through those profiles on ‘lavalife’, I would probably try someone like MANNYA. She “looks” and sounds sincere and doesn’t seem to be going out of her way to impress anyone. There is also something about that nickname that caught my attention... :-)

For your age, I would try to stick to ladies 23 and older. It would also be a great idea to write to the ladies who don’t post a photo. Not many guys will write to them and you might just be pleasantly surprised some day when she sends you a picture. Even if she turns out to be ugly, those are the ones that usually make the best wives. Another good tactic is to pick the ones with poor quality, fuzzy photos, where you can’t really tell what they look like from the picture. In other words, stay away from the drop-dead-gorgeous glamour girls and try not to get distracted by a pretty face.

And NEVER even mention money or send even a dollar to a lady you have never met in person.

Don’t give up Matt. Keep searching...

Ray

Hi Matt,

Her rich pastor daddy in America can probably just dip into till and pull out that much cash. I'm sure that he would be more than happy to help his daughter since she is living a good Christian life.

Hey Matt,

The perfect name, "trickyire"! My guess is that it means that if she can't trick you, you will receive her anger and wrath. Probably get it anyway. ;o)))
