Honey and I went to Fudruckers restruant here near us two weeks ago.  While there the couple sitting at the table next to us Honey said was Fil-Am and I disagreed.  I said she was Vietnamese.  I left to get something and came back to see them, all together - I was wrong (again?)!  We met Josie and Art and their daughter, Jennifer.  We had a wonderful time chatting with them.

Today we went to their daughters BD party and met at least a dozen Fil-Am couples and Filipino couples.  We had a wonderful time.  There is another adult party in 2 weeks and at least a half dozen members of the "gang" couldn't make this party because of other obligations.  Honey and I intend to bring the dozen or so others we have met for a pretty decent party and getting bigger group.

I was very surprised that not one knew about any of the "mag-anak/planet-love" type chat/bullitin boards and gave most of theses this links.  One guy just married a few weeks ago to a Filipina in Hong Kong and has been told that he can have her here by August without her going back to the Fils? (is that true?).  Another has been separated from her children for 7 years (none over 12 currently).  Many of them were so thrilled to learn about this online help and will visit here soon.  Please welcome them as the did Honey and I.

Yes, Art, the fiancee OCW will be able to do her K-1 interview through the US consulate in Hong Kong. They are very fast and efficient.

She will still probably need to gather some documents from the RP, however. That could hold things up. But she should get her packet #3 very fast from the HK consulate (probably within a few weeks of the I-129f being approved stateside).

If there is an interview involved, I still think she can do it in HK. Is this a K-3 ?

at least not yet.  I have told him that I'd check to see if the K-3 would be faster.

She must apply for the K-3 in the country where you got married. If you marry in Hong Kong, I don't believe that she will have the option to return to her contry to process a K-3.
