FIRST DREAM, INC. SCORES SIGNIFICANT FIRST BLOW IN ITS LAWSUIT AGAINST
SPENCER FORREST d/b/a "RUSSIAN WOMEN GUIDE": COURT ORDERS FORREST'S LAWYERS
DISMISSED FROM CASE FOLLOWING DISCOVERY OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST.
Court announces that Forrest will face further proceedings without counsel,
and will be held accountable for violations of court rules and procedures.
DALLAS, Texas, June 3, 2004
Dallas attorney Charles H. Steen announced today that his clients -- Jack W.
Bragg and First Dream, Inc. -- struck a significant blow in Court today in
their lawsuit against Spencer Forrest d/b/a "Russian Women Guide". "Forrest
put his attorneys in the cross-hairs of a very serious conflict of interest
and violation of the Rules of Court and the ethical rules of the legal
profession. Because of that, the Court ordered them off the case," Steen
said. "Forrest very foolishly put his own lawyers in that position. When
we found out about it, we confronted them, demanded that they formally bring
the matter to the Court's attention, and that they withdraw. That is
precisely what happened today; the Court ordered Forrest's lawyers off the
case. Going forward, Forrest will have to represent himself."
"Last Thursday we went to the first hearing on this issue and brought
Forrest's misconduct in this case formally to the Court's attention. Within
minutes the Judge indicated that he intended to remove Forrest's lawyers
from the case, and that Forrest, without counsel, would be held to the same
exacting standards of professional and procedural conduct that apply to
practicing attorneys. On the record the Court admonished that Forrest will
follow the Rules of Court, and the case law, and that there will be no
'shenanigans.' Today, at the second hearing, the Court signed the order
removing Forrest's lawyers from the case."
Mr. Bragg was touring Ukraine on the seven-city "First Dream 2004 Spring
Tour" during most of the pre-hearing wranglings. "We had a wonderful time,"
Jack said. "The spring weather was nearly perfect, and romance was in the
air everywhere we went - in Kharkov, Lugansk, Dnepropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog,
Nikolaev, Kiev, and Chernivtsi. We were the first to do a tour to Kharkov
last year, and this spring we were the first to tour in Lugansk, Krivoy Rog,
and Chernivtsi." When he received news that Forrest's lawyers would be
ordered off the case Bragg reflected, "I don't understand why Forrest would
do that to himself, or his lawyers. Forrest repeatedly threatened me with
lawsuits, for months - until I had to pull the trigger here in Dallas. All
along he made a big deal out of his supposed 'network of attorneys'. So,
here's a guy who's never once been to Russia, or to any FSU country, is not
married to a FSU lady, but still holds himself out as somehow being
knowledgeable; who never went to law school, threatens to file multiple
lawsuits, and lands himself in Court, without a lawyer, thinking ... well,
who knows what he is thinking. It makes no sense to me at all."
Bragg and First Dream, Inc. filed their lawsuit against Forrest and "Russian
Women Guide" in November 2003 for: Libel, Business Disparagement, Tortious
Interference with Business Relations and Economic Advantage, and Violations
of the Texas Antitrust Laws. The lawsuit, which was filed in the District
Court of Dallas County, asserts that Forrest -- under his trade name
"Russian Women Guide" (RWG) -- operates "Internet businesses engaged
directly and indirectly in scamming bachelors seeking Russian brides."
"We already have hundreds of pages of Forrest's private email communications
with various agency owners," Steen said. "Some of the stuff he wanted them
to do to Mr. Bragg is absolutely explosive. If you think Forrest shot

This case is just getting started." Steen, who holds a Ph.D. in Economics
and a Juris Doctor in Law, both from the University of Virginia, observed,
"I've spent a nearly twenty years -- first in graduate economics and law
school, and then in Court -- learning how to identify and punish bad actors
in the marketplace. That's what I do. So, I probably know a bad actor when
I see one. In this case, as the lawsuit says, we are in Court seeking very
substantial damages from Spencer, and we fully intend to shine the light of
the law on his wrongful conduct."
