Ok guy's, I just read the request below, I WILL be offering you guys some of my opinions as to the state of where we are today with regards to the pursuit for a Russian bride. And guys, things are a changing. You will need to understand, adapt and adjust to these changes as well.

And the scam factor! whoaaaa! I will tell you guys of some of the many scams we encountered over the past few months as we have hand delivered a LOT of letters to ladies whose addresses were bought from supposive "good" agencies from here in the states. You guys know for years I have talked about the large percentage of scam agencies coming from overseas. Some years back you may have recall I estimated overseas agencies to be about 85% scam, or suspect scam. I am pleased that over the past few years so see that percentage drop (again in my opinion) to a level of about 76% or 77% being scammers. Yea, 76% foreign agencies being scam is still a LOT, but it is an improvement over what it was. My biggest disappointment of late is seeing the high percentage of scam coming from American based companies.

Ok, I am still in the process of trying to get caught up with everything here after recent trip overseas. Had a wonderful trip as did 12 really neat guys (yes WildBill, will be sending you a LOT of photos as well as posting many on the website).  Will begin in the next few days to make some post's about where I see the pursuit currently. It would probably take a few full days to write everything. Time is one issue, Patrick's bandwidth another, so I guess I will try to report back to you guys with several smaller reports over the next month.

Jack,

One thing that might be of interest is if you saw any difference in what your clients experienced in this latest tour as compared to previous tours.

Also, about what differences individual clients experience based upon what prep work they did  - such as did they advertise prior to coming in local papers as compared to just making some introductions via the Internet prior to thier trip and did some just make the trip without much prep.

Search, the main thing that stood out over this tour compared to previous tours were the amount of women men thought they were corresponding with that they really were not corresponding with!!  I will go into details when I do a follow-up post on the scamming we encountered.

As to the differnce's individual clients experienced, that is easy to answer. Those guys who were the most serious, who worked the hardest, had the best results, had more ladies than they could meet, which is what I prefer as to not having enough ladies to meet. About half the guys ran some type of personal ads, all the guys bought addresses and most the guys sent out a lot of letters.

It sounds like the frustration level could have been very high for the men who were writing ghosts or Fat Yuri. Writing is extremely hard for men like me.  I look forward to reading your thoughts on how the men handled the scamming emotionally as well as what alternatives you suggest.  Going to legitimate agencies with carefully screened real girls sounds like the logical answer to me.  A logical alternative, overwhelming the scammers, with sheer numbers of letters / correspondence giving a guy alot of options seems like the best letter writing approach.  In any event, I leave for Tver today - so I'll report back on how, if the dating scene has changed in that small city.  One thing I know for sure, the agency LTP has serious competition - or at least I hope they have serious competition, because I am using the major competing agencies services.

its a fairly long tale, and i lived in Prague before so knew the customs and "general" area a bit.
and my first trip as far as looking for a wife  was awhile ago also.Ive made several since then to follow up on a lady i met during my first trip(i used FD for arrangements etc)

I'm very happily married now,by the way Wink

I'm fairly new to this board but not to RW- and
Jack was kind enough to deliver some things to friends for me on this last trip of his,and has been very very helpful in the past as well- so gave him "props" here.

Thanks Jack,

No need to answer this next question here but perhaps in your follow-up to everyone. Now the the MOB activity has been around for some time, are you seeing any differences in how the ladies over there are viewing this proposition. Is the interest growing, lowering or staying the same relative to the number of ladies that would consider a foreign bride, are they coming from different locations than before etc?
