The Russian and Ukraine economy is quite robust right now. New buildings, construction everywhere. While sitting in stalled traffic over the Dnipper river yesterday I counted 37 big construction cranes from this single viewpoint. Amazing, just amazing seeing this amount of new construction and new high rises going up.

You can own representative Russian stocks by buying TRF (Templeton Russian Fund). 52 week low was 15.31 and it hit 52 week high of 31.93 today. Unlike a stock fund, you can trade TRF just like an ordinary NYSE stock.

There are several East European funds around.

Symbol:  EUROX (still pretty cheaply priced $18)

Americas jobless non-recovery is the benefit to the Chinese and other 3rd world nations.  Two factories in my regional area has driven up the unemployment rate to about 15%.

It's only going to get worse!
