Is a B-2 visitor visa good for multiple entries or just one?

My Mom and sister just came on B-2 visas. It is for one year with multiple entries.

She stays upstate from you in the Frisco area.
Currently in Hawaii I understand.
Her visa is issued in 6 month durations... Then she returns, and then comes back in 6 more months.
Curious myself, I will call her, and ask if these are "multiples".
Did you find your travel agent?
