Hi everybody,

I have my ticket bought, I just have to finish moving out, and packing. Then I'm gone to Ukraine, for as long as it takes for the Direct Consular Filing process to be completed.

I'm going offline tonight, and I will not have regular internet access before I leave, which is May 14th.

Thanks to everyone who has helped me along the way during these last few months.

I should have a blast of a summer.

I plan on writing about it after I get back. And by that time, I'll be more of a veteran on these matters and I'll be able to help the new people more. And I'll show my photo album at that time too.

Look for my return on one quiet day on the board in the future.

Take care, everyone,

-Deckard

P.S. If I'm able to, I may visit the board while in Crimea.

She left May 1 for 25 days.
My job,  in the meantime, is (Oh Lord) remodel the kitchen!
I hope, someday,  we could spend an entire summer in eastern Europe.
It is already quite warm here in Texas.
Best of luck .. keep on posting

... in response to My wife is now visiting in Ukraine.., posted by tfcrew on May 7, 2003

My wife is still over there as well.  She'll come home at the end of July.  Marina spends the bulk of her time in Sevastopol, but also visits Zhitomir.

Like you, I also get the house maintenance/upgrade chores while the missus is gone.  Scraping old paint, concrete repair, spackling, sanding, painting, running TV and telephone cabling, and filling in old holes.  I wonder if these ladies have a conspiracy going, to keep up busy while they get to play...
