Hi Everyone,

I decided to stop being a lurker and join the crowd.  I've been a "lurker" now for most of a year and I finally decided to actually sign up.

My name is Christian, I'm 30, and I'm a software engineer in Silicon Valley.

The more women I meet here, the more I know that I don't want one!  So, I've decided to get more open-minded.  So, here I am.

I hope to get to know you all better.

I bet you never thought you'd get a debate like this going just by saying hello? Don't let it scare you off. Personally I love all women. Russians just liked me better. How about some more background info so we get to know you? How far along in the pursuit are you? Let's try to get something going here besides debates about the war or which women are the best.

Welcome TwoBit's. You might be surprised to know that there are probably a few thousand daily lurkers. I suppose we hear from you now as you must be getting closer to thinking about making your first trip.

As someone like you who has been lurking for a year, I don't have to tell you what the wealth of information that one can get here. But for the new lurkers, and there must be 100's daily, read those archives! Today's man who is searching for a Russian bride has so many more advantages than, say the guys from the mid 90's. The Internet has helped to educate a great many and has also helped to bring the prices down for certain cost's, such as flats.

The Internet has also introduced us to a new type of scammer, the Russian woman (or man, Yuri) Internet scammer, and scam Internet agencies. But most educated guys will be able to pick-up on some of the early signs and red flags to watch for with these type scammers and scam agencies. As the Internet has also helped to educate men as to some of the pitfalls of the pursuit for a Russian bride, it has forced several of the larger agencies to have to change there game plan. As the events of what goes on at the big socials as emerged, as well as the large percentage of "social scammers" that attend these events have been disclosed, fewer and fewer men are attending these "socials". As a result, we are introduced to AnastasiaWeb and E-700, two new services created to help offset the great revenue loss incurred by the decrease in number of guys attending the once famous "socials".

TwoBit's in my opinion this is the finest Russian discussion board in the world. On PlanetLove if a guy is scammed by Mordinsons Agency in Kharkov, or is scammed by E-700 or say's something bad about AFA or feels that the Life-Time Partners agency out of Tver has been well fished out for sometime now, he can freely say so here. Patrick will ask, as he should, for details about anyone claiming scam, but he will not censor anyone or delete threads about scam agencies that might be a monthly paying advertisers such as the case with one of the other Russian discussion boards. Many posters from the highly censored Russian discussion board will post of being scammed or post negative feedback about certain agencies on Planet Love where they know they won't be censored or banned for claiming a known scam agency is scam just because the scam agency pay's $100 a month to advertise and keep the negative post's to a bare minimum. Talk about a great dis-service to new guys seeking good advice and help! How about just leading them into the lion's den?

And not so much for you TwoBit's but for the new lurkers, read those archives. You can read of how other new posters, and old posters, started out and how they found there Russian dreambride. Most of the posters you will see are level headed and decide on a certain method and will share there experiences with us. We all learn from these experiences and reports, for the most part. Occasionally we will read from one or two who are clueless and whose advice causes more harm than good but those few individuals are usually fairly easy to spot.

At the age of 30 TwoBit's, you will have your choice of many fine beautiful women, and it is possible to find good, sincere, beautiful women who have a heart of gold. You will also run into Russian women whose morals will lead them to try to "secure the deal" with sex. At the age of 30 my advice would be to take your time, do not rush into this. Get to know about Russian women by meeting several. Choose wisely, choose a good Russian woman with good morals and it will change the rest of your life for the better. And once you meet a few nice Russian women, you will never be able to go back to an American woman again.

Sorry, I'm a hardware engineer.  Software didn't used to pay very well so I would never make the switch over.

Once you go over and meet these women you are not going to be able to forget them. They are so refreshingly different from American women.

Good luck to you and welcome

Have fun reading the archives.  I trust the experience and opinions on this board immensely.  Although we do have extreme differences in our political opinions - and sometimes get nasty with each other - most people here mean well and we do come together on the important topic of women from the former Soviet Union.
