I have tried to invite my Ukrainian girlfriend to Canada to visit me last year but she was not given a VISA in spite of having met all the so called "requirements" by our immigration dept. I am going to visit her this May and I am still not sure how I can bring her back with me. Apparently it takes 6-12 months for her to come over even if I marry her there. Any suggestions would help. Thanks for your help.

Dave,  I do know that each province does have something to say about whom can immigrate in their jurisdiction,
as for tourist visa,  shouldn't not be any trouble,  after you have engage yourself to be responsible for the person
visiting you,  responsable financially wise.
E-mail me,  I did look into this with the help of a lawyer.
