it to be the same this year.  Thank goodness...just what I need, another day of sucking up to the wife!  Don't we have enough of those days already?  Let's see...birthday, Xmas, Russian Xmas, New Year, Russian New Year, Mother's day, Valentine's day, Secretary's day...it never stops!!!  At least "Woman's Day" is no longer on the agenda at this household!!

Your wife did not forget about it,
be sure of this.
Women never do about these things.
Perhaps, because she is smart, she applyed
rule number one, to make a relationship work.
When one is right, he or she keeps the trap shut.
And when wrong, admit it.

very wise words... by the way my wife once told me about a men's day... actually I think it had something to do with the army... anyone heard anything about it???

I got an e-mail from my fiance in Ukraine last week making sure I knew about Woman's day and what happens. You know, telling me that a woman's beloved should pay attention to her and send her flowers.
She also told me that she just celebrated Men's day which was February 23rd I believe. She said it was historically National Army Day but is considered Men's day.
She said they cooked a feast for her father and the whole family got together and they prepared gifts for him.
That is all I know about this day.

Non-official "Men's Day" is 23 February, the Day of Army. All men in Russia are liable for call-up (including reservists), so they all are celebrities. On this day women usually give men small gifts.
