Okay, maybe I'm slow (show restraint with the comments), but I've read the posts regarding the k3 and am unclear, if you are married in the US can you apply for this? And you send the I-130 and I-129F and the same time, or does the K-3 go to the address in Chicago, no matter where you live, some help would be appreciated.

The purpose of the K-3 is to allow your spouse to enter the U.S. while the paperwork for her visa is being processed.

You can use apply for a k-3 visa if you were married in the U.S. and your spouse then had to leave the country to apply for a visa. You do not use the k-3 if she is already here.

First you file the I-130 petition at your regional service center. After you get the receipt notice for the I-130, then you can file the I-129F for the K-3 petition, always at the Chicago address.
