If anyone's RW has renewed their international passport since she has been in the USA, I'd like to know what the process was that she went through. Was it via mail to the appropriate consulate, or did she visit in person, how long did it take, etc.
My wife plans on going to Moscow at the beginning of June, but her passport is expired, and she's concerned that it cannot be renewed in time, especially if done via mail. Also, the Washington, DC consulate says you can mail in your renewal documentation, while the NY consulate (which is the one we'd be using) indicates you can't mail the stuff in, requiring a trip into that hell hole.
Any info appreciated.
