Author Topic: free house for newly weds  (Read 7557 times)

A buddy of mine with the US army in Kuwait said that apart from not having to pay income tax, the government gives newly weds a free house or $140K to build your own. Seems that having your own roof takes a lot of strain off the new marriage and it tends to last longer. Think I'll give my senator a call.

Us in Canada, it is not as generous.
But you get a big break, when buying your first house.
You may use, your private pension plan (REER) tax free.
For the first child, you get a few grands.
It does double with every child arriving.
A friend had twin boys last year,
as their third and fourth children,
they got 32 thousands.
Plus the parents may take a year off from work.
The father or the mother may stay home to take care
of the new born and get unemploment benefits.

In Québec, my province, nursery school cost something
like 5 dollars a day.
We do not pay for medical services and have a government
plan for prescription drugs.
It is pretty good, when comparing with other countries.

This why, many canadians have a very "drole" opinion
about the knowledge of the people to our south and
how badly inform they are.

Nothing is intended  by me in this message.
Perhaps some people should know about this
and eventually ask their elected officials to move
their behind.

.. So this is the system you think we're badly inform (sic) about and should get our elected officials to move their behinds for?

Please, whatever the Frazer Institute tells you,
only believe half of it,
it is like the ultra republican in the states.
Trust me, I live here and know what is going on.

You can have anyone, say anything,
W's father said before the Gulf War that Irak
had the fourth biggess army in the world,
the fourth after the Us, Russia, China, England, France,
Corea (north and South), India, Israel...etc...
I could go on and on.
It is call "ENDOCTRINATION".
The US dollar lost 18% versus the Euros lately.
If the Saudi ever pull the plog, the US have to go under
chapter -whatever- bankrutcy.
45-46 are near bankrupcy and the federal govt. in going
under.  The 168 billions barrels of oil in Irak will not help them,
but it will do marvel for the oil company.  The Bush family,
Cheney and Rice (who worked for Chevron).

Billy Graham will no doubt sleep at the White House, the day
before he sends the army in.

That nut from the Belfast Telegraph forgot to mention,
Argentina, Chili (Allende) and Kissinger, Paraguay, Uruguay (Stassner),
the Shah of Iran, etc...
please, inform yourself
we all live in the same world,
go to a video store and get Dr. Stangelove,

please believe that I do not post to show anyone off,
I do live in the same world as you do, using the same air,
wanting the same thing, happiness, it is call.
Canada is not perfect, we also have some very bad politician,
but we can handle them, somehow, so that we don't get hurt as much.

Then, you tie it in, so brilliantly, with a video recommendation.

Steady on, Mica.

I really think you're being far too modest in not wanting to "show anyone off." Come on, humility can only go, so far. Be honest, you must be a political consultant, of some fashion, in your own right.

Your pal,

Vaughn,  agreeing with you.  Should never have written that  post.
That I am a peacenik, ecolo, etc...... I confess.

You could have really blasted me and you did not.
Thank you.
Wanted to e-mail you, but you  know...
Should you care, please do.
Respects

Michel,

Please excuse my tenor in previous posts. I'm a political 'amimal,' who happens to reside in the 'other' aisle. I, however, agree with you, in the fact, that 'our' thoughts are probably a bit too outspoken, at least, for the intended purposes of this forum.

It's simply very difficult for me to - 'shut up,' regarding my disdain for...

How could I be angry with a fellow who has two dogs, as I do? Where are you and your dogs from? *smile* A former French colony, as LP previously stated?

Regards, Vaughn

e-mail me, please,
we can exchange photos of our dogs.

As  for the former french colony, right you are.
But will not elaborate on this.
Outside to say that that LP has some Jonathan Livingstone in him.
And that I am wainting for him to show up in YUL,
then  I shall and everyone else also, know
if he could cut it here.

Waiting to read you.
