Visa application goes in for us tomorrow, so I imagine that I'll be back there by late April as the 1/2 way point to approval :-) Now that I've been there, I can't imagine waiting 6 months or more before seeing her again :-)

I would think that the six month period of not seeing each other when it is a done deal just making it all happen would be the worst. At least you are in that process though - versus looking for the right one.

Before the airfares go back up. Then again, maybe I'll just send the family back then and join them later in mid May. That way they can get their visiting done and when I get there we can head down to Crimea for some fun in the sun with Eugene. The weather should be perfect for hiking those canyons and forests that we didn't get to the last trip. I think I'll pass on swimming in the sea though unless I pack my wetsuit.

Don't worry about the weather, just GO!

Usualy the weather in May is just pretty: warm, sunny but not hot yet. It cold be cool nights in Kiev but warm in Crimea. The sea water is cool enough and just a few people swimming in May.

The weather is very different from year to year (for example, this year we have very cold winter), and it also different in different regions - as you know, Ukraine is quite big country.
You still have time to pack...

Hello Markinka,

It has been a long time since you posted. Don't stay away too long. It is always nice to get a Ukrainian's perspective on things.

If I recall correctly, you were trying to find a man that had written to your girlfriend. Did they ever find each other?

Are you still looking for a foriegn husband? If so, how do you make yourself visible to foreign men? Do you have many friends who are interested in a foreign man for marriage.

There was a lady from Moscow who posted here who actually married a guy from this forum.

They now live in California.

Take care,

Greg

I am going in late May. I have not been before and heard the temps will be nice but it could be unpredictable.

I do not remember your story.

Is this your first trip? Are you going to see one lady or several?

I went 9 years ago when there was very little on the internet. I met a wonderful girl and she even came here but it did not work out. We never married and we were just too different... So for 9 years I was dating AW and tried everything but I could never find a woman that was quite like my Ukrianian woman... So I am back again...

Started writing a few woman back in Aug and Sep of last year. Narrowed it down to one that I want to see so I am going in May for 3 weeks... I can't wait! Smiley

Good luck to you. I know what you mean about not being able to forget those FSU women. There is something special about them that AW rarely have.

How about a trip report. I would love to hear about your trip.

I was stupid it took me so long to do this again...

I'd rather not post about a trip 9 years ago but if you'd like to hear some about it send me an email.. Just go to my profile and you can get my email.
