I've become more tolerant of junk and flame wars since making changes that increased the archive capacity by eight fold.  However, I did clean up the recent rash of off-topic and flame posts.  So if anyone is wondering "what happened to my post....," that's what happened.

Insert complaints about censorship below-

I don't think it is flaming nor off topic to point out dishonesty and breach of client confidentiality by an agency owner. Customers have a right to know the ethics of a business who's services they are considering. Nor do I think Jack "outed himself" as you said, he got caught and then tried to lie his way out of it (go back and read the posts you deleated in the order they were posted). What does amaze me is the number of people who said "so what?", "no big deal" and "I'd still do business with him".

for leaving it up so long for all to read and know the truth about Jack Bragg.

Except those who chose to be blind.

But, it isn't in the archives now... so those who come six months from now won't know...

Sad... but (I guess) unavoidable...?

BTW, the only good line in a movie that I otherwise hated, American Beauty: "Never underestimate the power of denial..."

They can fool most of the people most of the time, but they can't fool all the people all of the time.

Myself and you and all the veterans here were newbies once, some of us saw the deceit for what it was straight away, and called them on it.

There will be new newbies, some will fall for the propaganda, others won't be taken in... They will have their day.

Alf: What you aren't seeing are the people who aren't voicing an opinion.  How many of these people will not use Jack?  How many people will use Jack and be extra careful?

But... "landscaper's" posts, still remain.

Hell, I was even called Burt in Jack's "apology." Well, I archive "Burt", and find a guy talking about teeth in the Crimea.

BUR-t vs BUR-ke.

Wow... friggin deep.

landscaper is gone, but his fertilizer remains...

Meanwhile, FOG's troll droppings are 86'd, and the troll still runs free dropping his opinions from the back-end of his loincloth...

And now you have gone from an English statesman to Ernie's sidekick... wow, the Archives are a treacherous place!

from -lack of slumber. *smile*

That, "Burt" sure resembled my Buchanan-esque twisted humor?

Hehe... my wit is shot... as is - my manufacturing (customer) base.

Yet, It's interesting, how "Fog's" tenor, as well as writing ability, has changed so swiftl...

The "gardener's" efforts have created a backlash. If only,  from the ethical salesman amongest us, who would never dream of deception, upon that level.

Keep going...

That, "banned" Longfellow was a GEM!

I tend to agree with you, though you must admit that the thread had been poisoned to the point that Patrick had to do something.

I don't understand the mechanics of it, but apparently it is easier to delete the whole thread, rather than selectively keeping certain posts. I certainly wouldn't second guess Patrick. It's a thankless job he does, lets face it.

When I clean out my daughter's room, I will go through it and throw things away that she will tell me later she wanted to keep. My response: If you don't want your stuff thrown out, then you have to keep the room clean yourself.

I expect that is much the same here...

However, an interesting thought... if you have a thread that embarrasses you, just post enough junk that the thread gets deleted. That way it never makes it to the archives.

Not that anyone would go to those lengths, though... surely...
