Hello Everyone:

Could you please tell me what, if anything, you used to assist the ladies you wrote to with assistance for reply postage?

Thanks,
NateD

I stuck with email.

This acts as a filter that was important to me. The women with personal access to email are, as a rule, more eductaed, and more likely to speak English.

Also, I am an impatient cuss. I couldn't stand waiting for two weeks for a letter to get to me.

However, I was told by more than one lady that they had a collection of postage vouchers from men, and that they found the whole concept silly. If they wanted to write to a man, they could get the postage somehow.

I'm sure there are ladies who cannot. But everyone I met and takled to -- on two continents -- seemed to think that they could.

FWIW

There are a number of agencies where the lady can send her letter so she just pays the cost of local post. The agency scans the letter and sends it to you by email. The process is reversed when you write. Your email is scanned and sent by local post to the lady. This process is much faster than  normal international snail mail. Just find an agency closest to the lady. She may even be able to hand deliver her letters.
