Hey welcome back...  just curious but was there any trouble getting in and out with your wife... I guess you filed and got all the paperwork..  I didnt apply for it when we applied for aos back in January... wish I had now...

Anyway,,, as our former president use to say " I feel your pain" concerning the board... but there are still some great guys here and still lots of good info... try to ignore the nonsense...

Yes, most generalities concerning women from fsu are just that though I do have to say that my wife does have a few superstitions (husbands are NOT to whistle in the house!! ), has me wearing "home shoes" inside like she does and though she doesnt drink much vodka- I think it is because nothing would compare to the homemade vodka her dad makes in her summerhome in a village in Ukraine...

all the best,

Keith

Heya Keith,

One thing I didn't make clear: Victoria is still in Ukraine. She isn't here yet, unfortunately, so I can't tell you what it is like to get in and out with a wife.

I hope to have that problem next year this time (smile)

One other thing that Victoria said that I found interesting...

We were eating lunch and having some Juice with it (naturally). I made the comment: "You really can't find juice like this in America. You will miss this when you come there. I hear that the women from your country miss the juice when they come to America."

She was silent for a moment and then said: "The women cannot miss it."

"Why?"

"Because it is very expensive. We very rarely drink it. I only bought it because you were coming."

Of course, she is from Kherson... but still that surprised me. I thought it was a daily staple. She said that coffee, tea and water were the daily staples.

She did have the habit of taking all of the drinks out of the refrigerator one hour before meal times so they would be properly warmed.

It was bad enough when she did that with juice... but one meal she wanted to surprise me with Coca-cola for the beverage. Warm Coke.... Yummmm... Thanks honey!

No trip report? Now you are beginning to sound bitter. Glad to hear you had a great time. Avoid if you can Heathrow at all costs. Heathrow and Gatwick handles over 40 million passengers a year and are extremely overcrowded. Plans are afoot to extend and build new runways but thats another 3 years at least. You are right about Brazil,I'll go for the babes in Bikini on the beaches of Rio any time. But if you want beauty and brains go to the FSU. I'm not saying the the Brazilians are dumb however.

More tired of it than bitter...

I'm coming down to the end of my journey. Just a couple of months and my lady will be here. Once that happens, I will be an infrequent visitor.

So, the "new guys" need to step up and decide what kind of a board they want to have.

Patrick is just the moderator.

The content, for better or for worse, belongs to us.

When I think of all of the guys I know who don't or won't post here -- guys who have a lot of experience to share but are tired of the BS--, I think its a shame.

But it doesn't affect me any more... I Have my lady.

I feel bad for the guys still searching...

As for Brazil vs FSU... I've said it before -- it's not a question of beauty... ladies are beautiful teh world over. Truly. The women from the FSU generally seem to be more classically educated. But that doesn't appeal to everyone.

If I were a work all week, drink beer and watch the game on weekends kind of a guy, I would be looking south of the border, not north of it. They would porbably appreciate that lifestyle more than someone who grew up reading Tolstoy, and watching ballet.

BTW, I thought Gatwick was a pretty good little airport. AA flies to there direct from DFW, on a 777 which is always nice...
