Now don't get confused...

My wife's cousin's daughter (she's 20) is engaged to the son (also 20) of the woman who is visiting us at the moment (whose mother and married sister live in NJ).  I said this was confusing!

So last night, our guest tells my wife that my wife's cousin's daughter is waiting for an invitation to come and visit us here in CT (fat chance in hell of that happenning!). She also told my wife that the daughter needs to come to the USA so that she can find a man to get married to!  What the hell?  My wife said to the woman, what about your son who is engaged to this girl?  That's OK replied the woman, she just needs to get married long enough to get a green card, then get divorced, go back to Russia and marry her son, and then return to the USA together.

The fact that this woman thinks it is OK to recommend that her son's fiancee enter a sham marriage in the USA for a green card is astounding to me.  If that's how much Russians want a green card, then it really worries me that a woman who is NOT engaged has no compunction against perpertrating this scam on us men.

The more I know about RW/UW ladies, the more I think that the ordinary guy is just chum in the water.  Probably the vast majority of guys are gonna get eaten alive by these scamming ladies.  I hope that guys on this list have been sufficiently educated so that it won't happen to them.  I hope we are the exception rather than the rule!

Steve, from you I quote" The more I know about RW/UW ladies, the more I think that the ordinary guy is just chum in the water. Probably the vast majority of guys are gonna get eaten alive by these scamming ladies. I hope that guys on this list have been sufficiently educated so that it won't happen to them. I hope we are the exception rather than the rule!"

The truth is "the vast majority of guys are going to get eaten alive" is unfortunately true. Many men are not disciplined enough to think with a clear head through out the process. Many guys do not seek to educate themselves to the process.

"I hope that guys on this list have been sufficiently educated so that it won't happen to them. I hope we are the exception rather than the rule!"....I feel that most the guys who read this site, of which the vast majority we never hear from, are certaintly helping themselves throughout the process. As a whole, these guys will be better off, they are educating themselves and the majority of the guys who read this board and others like it, even if they do not contribute, most the guys who read these boards are improving there chances for success. But even in saying that it saddens my heart to see a few guys who do post here quite often, who are, in my opinion, heading for disaster. Love, or the presummed thougt of love, can make some guys not think with the right head.

where a guy was at his (former) girlfriend's wedding and he approached her before the ceremony to try one last plea and she said something like, "Get away from me.  This is business."

I don't think what has been described is unique to FSU women.  Once beyond their teen age years, I think that at some level all women (there's that absolute again) enter marriage to better their situation.  Some are more sophisticated than others but they are all  performing some kind of estrogen driven cost/benefit calculus.

It all depends what you want, having a beautiful 20 something lady there every night for a couple of years might be all some guys want and then they can go look for another.  So long as they protect their assets.

my wife has little contact with her cousins.  They live all over the place in Russia and they have their own agenda (obviously).  I'm sure glad that we have our own family and our own problems to deal with.  Hey, I've got an 8-y.o. daughter that I've got to deal with...that's enough for ANY man!

And I'll be glad when our 'guest' leaves on Sunday. I think my wife will be even happier, since she's tired of this 'b***h' complaining about everything and everyone in the USA (in addition to all her obvious conniving).

can not wait to get into a situation that will allow her to live here? I am curious why she is so dead set to live in USA, but all the while can not stand it while she is here.

I think she is one of these ladies that nothing in her life will ever make her happy.

I think it is humorous when people always think the 'grass is greener on the other side.'

life here, they still don't want to live in Russia (at least not full time).  What most of them want to do is live in a Russian community in a large American city, that way they can live in a 'better' Russia!
