Anyone have experience with bringing a minor to the US for a visit?  We would like to fly Lena's 13 year old cousin here over the holidays for a week or so.  Any details woud be appreciated.  Remember this is from Russia, not Ukraine.

Ken,

I brought my sister last year with no problem. She is twelve now. All she had was invitation letter from us. The consul asked her why she is going over, where her parents work and who will be covering expenses. She actually also had a visa from the previous year when they came for the wedding, so that was helpful.

I think that would be a problem when they start getting closer to 17-18 years old, but not now.

Lena has a 13 year old cousin? Female?

Yikes, you'll have teenage boys riding their bikes into mailboxes... walking into parked cars... and finding all kinds of lame excuses to stop by and visit ("Need you lawn-mowed Mr.Ken? I can do a real good job for you!")

Good luck :-)
