Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to ship large quantities of stuff, such as some large rugs/tapestries, from Ukraine.  Not looking to move furniture, but we are selling my wife's flat in Simferopol and would like to ship some rugs, books, and an artist's loom to the U.S.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just curious,,,,, what part of town was her flat in,, how big and how much ya getting for it. My wife is from there too and am trying to keep up on prices as we wish to retire there, (most of the year) when retirement comes.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

The way I would suggest, it would be for you to do it by a countainer,  by boat.
Do not share it with anyone, you will have room for a lot of stuff and it will take some time,  it is the cheapest
way and surest to do it.
While I have never done it from the eastern countries,  I have done it,  to and from France.
Was forgetting, do all your arrangements from your home town, with a broker.  That way you will be safe.
It will be deliver to your door.
