Hi Everyone!
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Guy's I'm really happy to know that you enjoy reading my post and appreciate our way of life.I should post my message since I found this site but scared that you all make fun of me like some filipina does.I got some e-mail from some filipina when I start posting messages in mag-anak.They ask me some question and I politely answer them back. Before the September 11 attack happen one filipina gal from new york send me e-mail and ask me where I live and I send her reply telling everything, about farm life and our livestock .I really thought she like it and appreciate  but she reply me a messages like this''WHAT YOU LIVE IN A MOUNTAIN? Poor girl and such and such. She's thinki'n maybe I'm like a hill billy which I admit close to it.hehehe.I was hurt knowing that she make fun of my e-mail telling her my way of life. She consider herself lucky because she leave in big metropolitan I know she's lucky!I never heared anything from her since sept.11 and even if she hurt me I still worry about her.I send her e-mail many times asking if she's okey but she never did reply me back.I know she's okey and sounds good because I read her post one time in mag-anak.I understand why she never send me e-mail back because I know I never belong to her world and not deserving to be her friend.
To everybody here in planet love thank you so much for the nice and warm welcome as warm as the welcome of my new family, friends, and the whole people of my new town.
I still have more funny story untold.

its me!

ha Ha, funny how the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence isnt it?
A lot of people that live and work and have grown up in metropolitan areas here in the US would love to live on a farm, or a nice place like the philippines and get away from the hectic stress of american big city life.

Don't worry about those kind of people.

Yes, I've seen those kind of Filipina ladies also.  They get over here to America and they think they're better than other's back home in the Phils.  They do themselves more harm than they do harm to you.

Hang in there.

Raquel,

Hi, I can be your friend. Speaking of the Filipina that you
are talking about, ignore her! You know some Filipina
mentalities, right? They thought they are sosyalan coz
they are from the big cities .  I think she used to live n
uncivilized place when she was still in the Philippines.
So balato mo na lang sa kanya her ignorance Smiley)

I wish I can visit your place one day. I like farm and
plants and natural views. Wow, fresh vegetables and
fruits but not fish right?  Do u have organic products
too? I would prefer the one that has no fertilizer and
pesticides on it Smiley)

By the way, I've been to Davao too. I used to work at
Stanfilco Philippines ( Dole Philippines Banana
Plantation) in Panabo, Davao del Norte. I've been to
many beaches there including the one near Mati and
the one they call Semi Boracay( they call the place
Santa Maria I think ) in Davao del sur  then after 2 years
I moved to Cebu City where I met my hubby.

Take care now and merry xmas.

Raquel,
Don't tell those people who live in big cities this, but I have always felt extremely sorry for them.  LOL   I would sooner not be alive than to live like that.  Farm life is the only way - it's what keeps me going to work so I can afford to move back to the farm when I retire.  And I HOPE that is before the mandatory age of 56......   Keep posting even if some do criticize you!

Well, I'd rather get my milk from a supermarket anyday.  Why would anybody in their right mind consider sitting on a stool in a barn, under a smelly cow, squeezing its udders.  (ha-ha - just joking).

Well so many kids nowadays think milk and eggs come from the grocery store instead of cows and chickens.  I laugh when I hear remarks like this.

Kevin,
About the time I got in high school, I had spent so many days coming straight home from school and going to work that I wanted to get away from the farm worse than anything!I truly grew up like people a generation or two older than me in that I didn't go out running around with my friends at night but worked until dark and then did homework and went to bed.   Weekends were the same.  But now I can't wait to get back.  I admit I never milked a cow in my life, so have to agree with you about buying milk at the store!

The part I could never stand about living in a big city is that you give up so much freedom.   You're always ina crowd and you have no privacy.  If somebody don't like what you are doing on your property, they make you tear it down.  That's not for me.  Smiley   I like to grab a rifle and roam the fields and woods at will and do what I want when I want.  Oh yeah, my love of all things mechanical can be applied to all the tractors and machinery on a farm too.  You're right about most kids and adults too, I suspect, not really knowing where food comes from and how delicate the supply system is that keeps it in the stores.

I agree with everyone else.  I remember a Filipina being rude to my wife out of jealousy.  I don't remember it happening more than once but I know others have experienced it.  People sometimes boast of themselves and put others down because they really are not secure in their own heart and life.

BTW, I'd love to see your web site.  Can you post the URL? I really hope you have a picture of Arnold there.  And you and Hubby too, of course.   Thanks!

...and what's the worse is that those kind of Filipinas
are the one who will start the trouble by means of
gossiping.

The stories I mean. As you've noticed, we're loving it. No offence to any New Yorkers here, but I don't know that that's anything to be smug about. Or in the words of the old song "Keep Manhattan just give me that countryside!".

Hi Raquel,
I agree with the others, the Filipina in New York
is probably just jealous.
A person that is rude to you is not the type of person that
you would want as a friend anyway.
I really do enjoy your stories.  Welcome to Planet-Love.

Merry Christmas,

Don

That kind of sentiment does not surprise me at all.  It stings.  All I can say is that your life and your husband is your world.  Your world to cherish.  Who cares what others think, about where you should live, what poseesions should be given to you, who you should have married, etc. What is beautiful is that you can feel contented in the arms of your husband, and that he also can experience happiness in his lifetime.  You know, I bet in the long run, you and your husband will have much richer substance to reflect on years down the road, whereas many of the folks that keep their noses in the air (maybe I'd rather not say the station in life they'll probably be at 10 years from now).  But I think you probably know what I'm talking about.  Remember, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.  This especially holds true when it comes to love between a man and a woman, which a marriage is supposed to be based upon.

Maligayang Pasko.

Some people are not very smart. I think she's just jealous.

It sounds like you have a wonderful life where you are. Love your stories and say hi to Arnold the talking pig (LOL)
