I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving.

On Wed of last week we had our adjustment of status interview in St. Louis. That part went OK. I have to fil out ANOTHER affidavit of support and W-2's for the last 3 years. (this should be close to the end of the K1 process)

We also had to finish some immunization shots. Now maybe I dropped the ball but we were never told in previous appointments that we were still missing this. So on this trip they said we needed JUST the shots finished but we had to go a DR on their list.
Well most all of these places were clinics of some sort. The one place that was a Dr office wanted $125 for the visit PLUS the cost of each shot. I think they wanted to do the whole exaim, skin test EVERYZTHING $$$

The clinics were much cheaper but we got the run around from 3 places. After we went in person place #1 said they dont do the shots.
Place #2 said on its much cheaper if you go to place #3. After waiting at place#3 for one full hour they said that we need a persciption and had to go to this place. Well this place is place#1 !!!! So after calling place #1 they said we need to go to place #X not on the list and then come back to place#1 for the paperwork.

SO We went to place#X got the shots ($75 total) then we went to place#1 again and paid $50 for the paperwork!

The funny part is that she is not complete on some of the shots. There is a third part still needed but good ol place#1 took the $50 and gave us the paper!!! IS this SA or the USA Huh? what a joke!

SO the moral of this story is - be prepeared for long paper trail and lots of $$$ to get everthing legal.

On the other hand it has been so worth it. I have the best girl in the world!

What is the next step for you? Did they give you another appointment? In this process so much has to do with the agent dealing on your case as there is no consistency at all.

Since I know how much you guys love hearing about whats for dinner.

We had a big Peruvian get together in NJ. Tons of Seco, Pavo, Carapulcra, Caucau, Paneton, Alfajores, Inca Kola, etc.
Mucho baile, pisco sours, tons of family and friends.

NJ has a lot of Peruvians. Some are really doing quite well here.
