UC,

I say that your story is just bull!  I think what really happened is that you hypnotized your future wife, talked her into severely molesting your body, and then kidnapped her to San Antonio.ha  I am sure that if we knew the "real story" on you, you are really some sicko that will one day be found out and put on TV on the "America's Most Wanted" show.  Or the other scenario is that you are one lucky SOB!! ha  No, just kidding.  However, you are very fortunate, and I hope to be so lucky someday.  Take care.
Say hi to the family for me.

True, it only takes one but if you're going to meet more than one in your quest to find the one, I personally think it makes a lot of sense to concentrate in one city.  Here's a guy who's been talking about going to Colombia for years and now he's finally going to do it.  He only has ten days.  If he has to meet this gal, he'd be better off to go to Barranquilla first, forget the first four days in Cali.  Why add this unnecessary confusion first before meeting the gal he has the hots for.  Than after he meets the gal, if they're both not totally in to each other, then move on quickly.  He could stay in Barranquilla or take a flight to Cali.  This makes more sense to me.

You're right. He should meet this chick right off first thing. If she doesn't knock his socks off, then move on quickly without wasting a lot of time. You really should try to persuade him that your idea makes more sense. It does to me.

Yes,I agree. We are looking for that one right one.Actually there are probably many women a guy might be compatable with. The trick is to find her.So the numbers I keep talking about is not because we need more than one,but we are attempting to find that one. And,it seems to me,the more we meet the more likely that will happen.Or course we can do other things to TRY and focus in on where she might be,but when it happens it can seem random.By putting yourself out there,we open the Posssibility of meeting her.
So,with my friend for instance,I think the 10 or 20 women he could meet or  follow up on by not going to Baranquilla and spliting his time is much more likely to work than seeing that one woman he only knows from the interrnet,Untill you meet them you really do not know if anything is hasppening here.Internet relationships are lacking in a basic ingredient of reality in my mind.
And I like Cali, but the thing is not Cali or Barranquilla but splitting only 10 dats between the 2.Better to stay in one place if you have 10 days.If you do get lucky you will need time to follow up.

Pete

I think he is going to waste a lot of time going back and forth. As Calijames suggests he ought to meet her first, see if they click in person and if they don't, move on quickly. The internet is good but you've got to see them in person, you're right.
