A Latina fashion question

Ok guys,

I have a latina fashion question.  For the most part, I love their sexy clothes and shoes, etc.  But, I have noticed on my trips to Colombia that many of the girls wear white fingernail polish.  Some wear other colors, but at least right now, that white crap is popular.  Now, this is hardly a burning question, but I will tell you that I much prefer some shade of red, or even pink.  But, I don't really prefer the white stuff.  Has this been going on for a while, or is this just the latest trend?  When I was in Cali in May, I even gave the girl I was dating (at that time), some red nail polish.  If I recall correctly, she never did put it on.  By the way, I would never try to force my tastes on the girls; however, I must confess that I find  the red polish very sexy and a turn on.  For one, I think it fits their skin tones.  Now, I am not talking about having a girl wear it to look like some cheap Ho!  I just think it is very sexy and attractive; but right now it seems that the white stuff is in.  I don't hate it, but it doesn't do anything for me either.  It will be a while until I can return to Colombia.  But, for now, I just wanted to ask some of you who have ladies in your life. (Wives, girlfriends, etc).  Tell me what you notice and what you think about my opinion on Red or White?  Blue is ok, but it doesn't really do anything for me either.  I hate Orange or Purple.  Do any of you guys feel the same way as I do, or does it matter to you at all?

P.S. A little footnote, I love to watch a beautiful lady put on nail polish, especially if I am in a relationship with her.  I can't tell you why, but it is a turn on.  I find it something very sexy and feminine; but I don't mean kinky!  I remember being married to my 2 american wives, years ago.  I just found it enjoyable-- ordinary and mundane, but at the same time sexy.

1. I am definitely a fan of red nail polish AND red lipstick.  

2. Secondly, I think women look better when their nails are coordinated with their outfits, even if the nail polish is something other than red.  (i.e. purple nail polish, purple purse, or purple necklace, etc.).

3. On my first trip to BAQ in April this year, the first dinner date I had, this beautiful Latina had red fingernails, red toenails, red necklace, and red open toed  shoes, with black pants and a black blouse.  Ahhh... I remember it as if it were yesterday...

4. When I visited my current novia in July, I expressed my desire to see her "in red", which she was delighted to hear, and I paid for her to get her fingers and toes done, in addition to buying her some red lipstick... "largo duración" :-)

NOTE: She was not expecting this.  She first treated me to a professional manicure and pedicure upon arrival, and I was more than happy to return the favor... For those wondering... I opted NOT to get any colored polish for myself :-)

Thanks for sharing.  I hope that all is going well for you.  My latina search in on hold for now, but when I resume, I hope that I can find a sweet, special lady who will enjoy dressing up and doing the nails, etc.  Of course, most of these latinas do anyhow; but it is different when you know the lady is dressing herself up just for you!!  Now, that is a real turn on.  The red nails, etc is just icing on the cake!!

Hey Okieman!!

I agree with you...many women from Colombia ( and also from Peru) only wear the white nail polish (including my wife from Peru).

My wife's opinion is that fewer women wear the color red because they consider it very strong and it stands out more....compared to white......

I hope your working on your Spanish Okieman!!!!!

Thanks for sharing.  So, your wife is saying that the ladies don't want to "stand out"?  Maybe I don't understand, but I figured the ladies wanted the attention; but since I am not part of their culture, possibly there are negative things attached to that.  Since the latinas like to dress sexy, then I just naturally thought they would want to "stand out".  Thanks again, but I am hoping that I can better understand this.  It is not an earth shaker, I just am trying to find out.  Take care, and yes, I am working on my spanish.

Well it takes all kinds. Up until you asked this question, I hadn't even noticed whether she had finger nail polish on at all. She hasn't got any on at the moment but usually she wears a shade of red.

Hey Utopiacowboy,

Thanks for your response.  So, your wife does like red?  Great.  Now, I am not suggesting that is the only shade I like, but it certainly is my favorite.  I know that fashion trends come and go, but I am trying to better understand the ladies and their ideas on fashion. My thread was basically focusing on nail polish, but I am also a big fan of red lipstick too.  Of course, like nail polish, there are many, many shades of red, as well as other colors.  I used to watch my former wives dress and put on their make-up and nail polish.  It is obviously such a feminine thing.  I mean it is something that we as men do not do; it is distinctly female (and that's the way I like it).  I know that you have shared some things that your wife does that turns you own (clothing, etc).  So, maybe someday I will have a special lady in my life again.  I am praying that the next lady in my life will be a beautiful latina!!

Just about everything she does turns me on! It pleases her no end when she finds out something she's worn or done has turned me on. They love to please their men, no doubt about that.
