It's gonna be called "Human Trafficing"...guess what the trailer focused on? C'mon, you have ONE guess, what it's gonna focus on...

Tis a shame, Donald Sutherland, an actor who I have always respected will be part of this show

I have no problem with exposing REAL human traffiking. But what makes me thing they are going to step over the line and get in to situations where women choose to be prostitutes. And in to the marriage or relationship seeking guys.
I guess I have little faith they will not go for the dramatic even if they have to distort the situation.
And who wil be their main consultants?A bunch of womens
libbers for whom the idea that a woman would freely choose situations that their more financialy secure butt would not seems inconcievgable.

Pete,

I agree with you completely.  Given their other programming, I am not encouraged with what they are doing.  Personally, I think that a significant portion of their programming is socially irresponsible, and is contributing to the fragility of the American family.

Lapentier,

Keep in mind that the Lifetime network is basically designed for a female audience.  So, their programming will always be from that prospective.  Unfortunately, in this country, that also means feminism!  The good ole feminist movement, and politically correct crowd, has gotten a death grip on much of our mass media.  This is but one example, but it is a prime example, because of the target audience.  I mean, they would not play this on ESPN, or Fox News, etc; because they would lose their male audience.  So, naturally, they put it on a network with a largely female audience, and then listen to the "drumbeats"
of feminism start up in full swing!  What's next, mass male castration?

OkieMan,

Some males have already been castrated.  They are called liberals!

Familiar with Senator Strom Thurman? He made a statement one time that went something like this: When I entered congress in (1930 something) I was considered a liberal. Some 60 years later I'm considered a conservative. Never one time did I change my position on any subject.

I don't much like the guy or his positions, but that is funny.

Well, supposedly, he changed his position on race relations, etc.  Remember, he went from being a Southern Democrat to a Republican because the base of the two parties changed.  I think that FDR and Harry Truman would both turn over in their graves if they saw the state of the modern day Democratic Party!  Also, I find it interesting that for a time, old Strom was critized for his earlier positions; but the Democrats don't want to say anything critical about Robert Byrd from West Virginia. He admitted that in the old days, he was in the KKK.  So, as usual, there is a double standard for conservatives and liberals.

Hmmm,

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), Donald Sutherland.

A little coincidental perhaps.
