I guess I am not the only one who has thought alot about the car situation in SA..

I agree about bying used cars. The car my wife drives is a Lexus ES300 and people think I spent a lot on it. I bought it with 88k and I think it will run forever. I have not put a dime into it. Its all Toyota engine etc.

As far as the car situation in Peru.
I am sure there is money to be made in it somehow. In Peru they allow used cars up to five years old but there are taxes and red tape. Peru has some kind of deal where if you import them into the south of Peru in special zones they have to modified or something (left hand drives to right hand drives) then you pay less tax.

I wish I could figure it out somehow.

TE AMO PERU!!!!

I didn't know Fujimomi had that much influence.Really, they drive on the left like The UK,Austrailia and Japan?
That was the story when I was looking in to exporting Porches to Australia, which I never followed through on.I did have one go to Japan, but the guy who bought it sent it,not me,and I don't think it had to be converted.Thats expensive.
BUT,if the door is open a little maybe there is a way.
I am always interested in what things cost, particularly cars. But its not basic cost or shipping that causes the difference, but Beauracracy.Get by that you could make some  money.

Peru drives on the same side we do in the US. That is, when they're not driving on the sidewalk, passing on hills, etc.
