good point...i heard the same thing on DR from an attorney. I agree with you on getting to know the lady during the wait - but that can only be done if guys are willing to make return visits. Rushing into it is generally not a formula for success. As Okie points out - there are a lot of problems in this endeavor and questionable success rates - I certainly have had my share of challenges

Return visits - right on the money!  I have been to the DR 13 times to see my fiance, sometimes for a week or more.  I have been through an awful divorce, I -- *N E V E R* want to go through that again!  Not saying that it can't happen again but as far as I am concerned, this time is for keeps.  So I must say I know my fiance PRETTY well.  I am VERY fortunate.  I also know that many people do not have this option.
