Papi did a post on WLC.He is giving up on his Panama tour idea.He may have even said something here,I don't read everything.My response to him.

One good thing about the tour business,it doesn't have to cost alot to give it a try.I presume and reservations for rooms ect are cancelable.So you are not out renting a house or hiring a staff.
Bruce White was here Christmas.He says business is down.He said in the past if he talked to 100 guys he could get 20 to go.Now maybe 3 or 4.But he can just scale down,not having much fixed expense,at least in Colombia.
I think the tour business,IF you can get it going is a good one.But you were fighting not only the slower business,but trying to promote Panama.I don't know why you choose Panama.Because nobody else is doing it?You might consider the KING of destinations,at least in terms of numbers,Cali.I KNOW Cali is not the ONLY place,but still the MAIN place.And  head shoulders  butt and feet ahead of Panama.
You would be going head to head with TLC.It seems to me what they do could be done cheaper.You might bring the cost down if nothing else.Maybe make a package deal with the agencies.I think All Colombian girls was trying to do something like that but it never got going.Maybe thats in Calipros plans,he is working with them.
Alot of people think they can make money at agencies,but hardly any do I think.It might sound like a fun business,but I think it can really get to be a pain in the ass with all the cry babies too.Tours a better idea,or at least alot less hastle.
Lets see,other ideas.Make money doeng something else in Colombia?I have explored alot of things but so far after some researh have not really jumped in to anything.
Make money doing soething in the US that can be done from Colombia?Better idea perhaps.$$$ from the US market,cheap help here if you can get them doing something usefull.

Papi has not hung it up - just totally frustrated at the lack of demand mainly from outside the forums where he dropped a lot of cash on advertising, etc. But papi aint from Okie - he will either fish or cut bait and get on with it

I saw your post below - I may take you up on that invitation but not interested in the agency biz in Cali unless someone can show me how to make money at it. I also want to get back to BAQ. I have a trip to Panama the end of the month but maybe we can hook up in July. I assume there is space at the Inn???

looks like you figured out how to make money in La La land. good for you Pete - maybe some of your wisdom might rub off on me. I will keep you posted. I am probably more interested though in Panama and BAQ at the moment. There are some areas outside of Panama city in the higher elevations that I want to explore. And I also want to get back to BAQ.
