You might want to try the forum search engine link at left.  I started searching the Latin forums for "orphanage" and had 5 hits before I stopped it.  There's over 200 archived pages in there.

well i went to the archives and read every post concerning orphanage.
I found out the man who started up the prphanage is David and hie had a handle of Gator 1964.
The problem is i see no way to contact this man or his orphanage.

Does anyone know his where a bouts or does his orphanage have a web site?

when he got pinned down by a couple of people "in the know" he kinda disappeared about six/seven months ago.  I had asked my nephew in Cali to look around and see what was what but nothing developed. Based on what he said he would have founded the orphanage when he was 27 and he really did not know Cali or its geography.  One day he would have  24 children two days later 26 boys, later boys and girls.  Said he was going to run an adoption agency-one catch-you must have a state license.  Said his planned B&B was in an
"strata 6" ANY one who lived in Cali as long as he claimed would know it is called ESTRATO not STRATA.  Nephew looked and asked lots of questions but nada.  The guy, who posted under Gator1984, disappeared after about two months.

TROLLLLLLLLLLLLLL comes to mind.

hmmmm...very interesting. so the whole thing could be a lie?

to bad, it sounded like a good idea an american opening an orphanage to help displaced Colombian kids.

thanks for the heads up.

"Strata" is ENGLISH, not SPANISH.  Anybody literate who was born and raised in the U.S. would know that.

MORONNNNNNNNNN comes to mind.

as I posted, "Said his planned B&B was in an "strata 6." ANY one who lived in Cali as long as he claimed would know it is called ESTRATO not STRATA."
I guess I was a MORONNNNNNNNNNN for not being more specific.

ok, im not talking about strata or estrato. i had just heard somewhere that a american man and colombian wife started up a orphanage for the kids in colombia.

i was just wondering if it was still active and if it was legit and if anyone had any info.

I think i have found the man and his orphanage. I emailed him and he invited me to contact him my next trip to Cali and he would give me a tour of the orphanage.
