My wife has just started driving----INSURANCE----can get really crazy considering the limitations of experience here in the US.
If you can prove she has 3 years experience from another country.....then most US companies will give some type of price break.....if you can't.....then your pretty much screwed even with all the common discounts plus mult-line discounts...i.e...multi-auto, home,renters, and life insurance with the same provider.
HOWEVER, I found that there was as $800 dollars in savings over a 6 month period by switching to the company that sounds like "GECKO"....(sorry...didn't want to sound too much like a salesman) despite my wife's lack of driving experience.
My prior insurance carrier was one the "FARM"s.
Friendly tip from somebody who's been around the block and not bickering over non-sense.
