Just for your information, you may want to keep the "lucky dog" international code handy.

They are a subsidiary of ATandT. Their connections are the best and the charges simply appear on your phone bill.

They are a little high...($1.00 connection fee...and about 17 cents a minute)  but you will always get a great and clear connection using them. I use them when my cheaper calling card is having problems connecting.

To use "Lucky Dog" simply dial 10-10 -345

Then 011

For Cali then you would then dial 57 2 and her number......

I went to that site and looked it over. Those prices look too good to be true. Have you actually used any of those cards? If so, did they work properly? Good sound quality? Usually seem to get through? etc? We've tried all (well, most) of the cards available around here and the best ones we've found only get about 1/3 of that amount of time (and the worse ones give as little as 1/10 of what EZ-Pin is claiming to give). Of course when I buy them I only pay $4.00 instead of the face value of $5.00, but still, your site looks like a much better deal, IF they can usually get through, don't 'lose' minutes or dwindle to nothing all by themselves if you don't use them all up in one long call. I did see a .49 (or was it .69?) 'weekly maintenance fee' that they listed, but other than that, do they gimmick and gaff you to death with hidden charges or mistakes which always seem to work in their favor?

Actually, I was thinking of switching to that service myself, instead of Ocho and Texas Red like we've been using. With two daughters in Cali, my wife makes a LOT of calls.

Besides going to Ez-pins and geting a ton of minutes

My wife has just started driving----INSURANCE----can get really crazy considering the limitations of experience here in the US.

If you can prove she has 3 years experience from another country.....then most US companies will give some type of price break.....if you can't.....then your pretty much screwed even with all the common discounts plus mult-line discounts...i.e...multi-auto, home,renters, and life insurance with the same provider.

HOWEVER, I found that there was as $800 dollars in savings over a 6 month period by switching to the company that sounds like "GECKO"....(sorry...didn't want to sound too much like a salesman) despite my wife's lack of driving experience.

My prior insurance carrier was one the "FARM"s.

Friendly tip from somebody who's been around the block and not bickering over non-sense.

Same here, we use State Farm also. No problem to add her onto the policy once she obtained her DL.
