Could one of you refresh my memory on what to bring to an I-751 interview? I assume evidence of joint relationship of course, also should we have more immigration photos done and take them also? Anything else, tax records, etc.?
The situation is, my wife filed her I-751 over a year ago. Received the usual letter from CIS saying "your current status has been extended 12 months while we process you case...", etc. When we were nearing the end of the 12 month extension, we took a day off work and drove to Memphis to ask in person about her case. The officer we spoke to knew nothing about it, stamped and signed her passport to extend her "limbo" status another 12 months. (very unofficial-looking and would be easily forged) Shortly after our enjoyable day trip to Memphis, we received a letter from the Texas Service Center saying her case had been transferred to Memphis and that we should contact that office to set up an interview appt. (nice since we had just been there days earlier) We wrote a certified mail letter to the Memphis service center to ask about her case and a possible interview. We have received no reply from our letter (one month), so it looks like we will drive to Memphis AGAIN to simply ask what is going on. We plan to take evidence with us in case someone there is willing to interview/approve us "on the spot".
This is becoming frustrating and very time wasting. Thanks for any advice/info you can offer.
