This is somewhat dated information (10/04) found mostly in the archives so prices may have changed somewhat since then. Be sure to check current prices.

CSH offers rooms without using the Introduction Service. The reduced rates start at $55 per night.

Most hotels in El Poblado or Envigado will run anywhere from:

Dann Carlton: $89/night without breakfast. Ave El Poblado, cra 43 A-No 7-50
Intercontinental: $69/night with breakfast. Variante Las Palmas
Park 10: $70/night with breakfast. Carrera 36B, no 11-12
Zona Rosa: $45/night with breakfast
Hotel Poblado Plaza: $100/night. Carrera 43A 4 sur 75, Apdo 65768

Another alternative to consider is Torre Poblado Aparta-Suites, Cra. 42, No. 9-28, Tel: 268-0244, in El Poblado. They are clean, spacious apartment-style suites, with kitchen, mini-bar, cable tv. Located around the corner from Hotel Dann, and very close to Parque Lleras and all the shops, eateries and cafes. $110,000 pesos per night, plus tax. Stays of 10 days or more qualify for discounts.

P-P has rooms to rent:

Another alternative for budget-minded lodging in Medellin, a new hostel called Casa Kiwi, near Parque Lleras.

Address: Carrera 36 # 7-10, Medellin.

Sheraton Four Points, Medellin. Rack rates are on the site, looks like ~$60 a night over the weekends. I don't know what neighborhood it's in.

The Estelar chain was mentioned in a previous post. Both GHL and Estelar have some nice properties in Colombia (and surrounding countries)

That's a good price for the Sheraton.  They are located in El Poblado right below Oviedo mall.  I've visited a friend who was staying there and they have nice rooms.

I've been also inquiring about hotels in Medellin. You can look at the Hotel Poblado website by doing a google search for: hoteles estelar s.a., click on programs, choose the hotel in Medellin. As you'll see, extended stays of 10 days or more are only $60 U.S./night. In Spanish, they are quoted for only $120.000 CP/night. This hotel has been highly recommended to me.
