I know it has been brought up before - but, does anyone here have more recent/updated info on hotels in the moderate price range (ie. affordable for a week or two) in Bogota, nothern section of the city.  Thanks..

Try La Fontana or La Plentitud, its next to Unicentro and its an apartment for what you would pay for an hotel. The prices have gone up from when I stayed there.  It used to be around 60 a night with a discount for extended stays. Now its runs about 90 a night.  but it is an very nice big apartment. (About 900-1000 sq. feet)

If you prefer to stay neaar the airport.
Try, Hotel De LaFeria
Good safe and and nice.   about $50-60 a night which includes breakfast and transportation to airport. In room DSL if available for about $6 a day or you get less time for less money.  You have to buy internet cards at the front desk or you can use the b-center.
It is a part of the Estelar hotels see sight below. It contains links for all hotels under the chain name.

There is also a hotel in the center of town. Its about 140,000 pesos a night for standard room.  I have not stayed there yet, but I hear it is nice.

Thanks to all for the info.... will be heading down in the next couple of months. Looking for reasonable rates in a good, accessible part of the city....
