I recently read an article in which the author stated  a single man alone usually gets little attention by attractive women. But that same man seen with an attractive girl, makes other women's perceive him differently. He is now seen as much more attractive by women.Women are in a way like us. They want their partner to be desired by others. They like the competition.
I guess that is why when we travel to foreign countries, we feel like we are studs:)The women are all over because they are curious about AM. So there is lots of competition for our attention. So our level of attractiveness is elevated even more. They feel important to be the chosen one.
But what happens if you bring a beautiful woman back to the U.S. and she begins to notice women want nothing to do with you?
I think many men are really doing themselves an injustice by hating AW and not making much of an effort to be nicer, smile and flirt lightly once in awhile. The AW feel the hate, and really ignore you. While your woman looks on and notices no woman shows any interest in you whatsoever. You might as well be the wall.
I look around everyday and notice very hot women with below average guys. Especially in metropolitan areas. So the excuse that AW are all snobs and picky may not always hold up. All I am saying is, try to make yourself attractive to other women around, and you will never have to worry about your woman thinking she did not get a great deal, because in her head, she will inflate the image of women's interest in her man and want to hold on to the goods.
Steve, I think you know what I'm talking about.

I think you bring up an interesting point and I'm sure some women feel that way. But if a woman's level of attraction to a man is based mainly on the amount of attention he gets from other women, she is a follower and not the kind of woman I'd want to be involved with. Her attraction should be based on her own opinions and not others.

This might be true with younger guys, say under 40, but I haven't found it true for me (I am 50).  My wife is the only woman who thinks I am attractive (and it isn't just that she thinks I am different and thus interesting, she tells me all the time how cute she thinks I am), and despite the fact no other women give any indication that I am cute, she continues to tell me how cute she thinks I am.

I believe if the marriage is sound overall, you won't have to do any fake flirting to make her think you are a "commodity" among other women in order to fully appreciate you. No offense, but if Steve's case is an example of your theory at work, I'll pass.
