I registered my deed In Cartagena today. Did not have much of a Christmas, went with a buddy to his girlfriends house. There were her five sisters and two girlfriends and us. Got kind of confusing. well someone has to do it!!! The condo is great. I listen to crashing waves and wind every night and donŽt need air conditioning. There is one drawback I still have to go to Cali for my furniture. I am sleeping on a matress I bought for twenty bucks but my driver brings coffee every morning when he picks me up or delivers workmen. I have knocked down a wall between a galley kitchen and the dining area and broke out a wall for a window in the guest bedroom  looking at the ocean. I hired a guy for $800.00 to sand and refinish all the doors 8-- the closet doors 16 and the stairs, while painting all the kitchen cabinates white. They are all oak. It should keep his five guys busy for a while. Well it is 9:45 and I am heading for the Casino.  My friend Tom Left this morning for Dallas and I need to catch up.If anyone is here call me on my cell 315 714 2905 IŽll buy. JIM C

Jim,
I'm glad you got the condo deal finished.Look me up for a cerveza when you get to Cali.
My apartment deal is kind of on hold,we can't get anybody to return calls.
Sounds like you got a super deal on that condo.Listening to waves is my kind of noise.Makes me think I should buy one.Any left?

Hey Jim,
Looks like you're enjoying the city, of course, Cartagena is a great place with nice weather, and safe.  I hope to be there in the next couple of months.  But I envy you, enjoying all that....
Have you checked the agency scene or what is your take on the latinas and their interest in foreign guys?  Good luck with settling in!

I had a wild idea about buying a hotel or apartment complex in Cartagena.  What is the market like there?  I recalled seeing some empty buildings/lots in Boca Chica a block off the beach.
