Myra passed the interveiw!!!!!.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Myra took her interveiw Thursday morning at 9am and passed. She said She got there at 6am. Her name was called at about 9am. They looked though her paperwork and asked to see a couple of pictures and that was it. I have already purchased the plane tickets and if all goes well with visa delivery she should be here on the 3rd.

Thanks for all your advice and support, and I will try to hang around and post updates as to how things are going once she gets here. If anyone lives close the Minneapolis airport and would like to be a part of the welcoming party let me know I would love to have you there.

Well now that it is almost over it does not seem like it was that bad of a wait. Actually I don't even think the wait was the worst part. The worst part was just not knowing when you are going to reach the next step. Maybe next month maybe next week who knows. Lots of disapointment when you expected something to happen and it does't, but like I said before I am just glad that it is over. Now we have a date, or what I call a light at the end of the tunnel.  

That is one of the great things about these boards at least you know you are not alone, you can see other peaple making progress, and ask question.

Myra will have alot of time to kill for the first few weeks after she gets here I will be at work since she cannot drive yet. She loves spending time on the internet maybe she would like to become part of this board?

I suggest that if you know someone in LA that you have them meet her there to go through the customs with them or at least help her get to the transfer flight.

Thanks for the suggestion but there will be no need. One of Northwests main hubs is here in Minneapolis. She has a direct flight from Tokyo to Minnesota.  She will even be traveling with a friend that took the interveiw on the same day as her.

I plan on sticking around. We are not done yet we still have to complete the rest of the process once she gets here.  I will keep everyone posted.  I have fallen behind on me reading lately because I been really busy at the office and taking care of last minite items with the visa because we had an open interveiw. I figured I had a month from the time we received packet four to complete everything and once I received the open interveiw I had to complete everything asap. I am glad it is finally over.

How long did the visa process take you?

For info, in our case earlier this year, Delbros delivered the visa in Metro Manila 6 days after the interview. The consulate took 5 days to release it to Delbros.

It took us a almost 7 months I mailed in the petition on Nov 27th. Our timeline is listed here.
