This is tidbits of a posting from brama ~

Ukraine Train Travel has undergone significant improvement in the quality of service in recent years. Train No 11/12 Kiev to Crimea, Kharkov to Kiev and the Lviv to Kiev routs now support renovated modern train services.

Many of the train stations also have a special foriegners ticket booth and whilst some trains may be difficult to book during the peak summer/holiday periods on Friday and Mondays tickets are generally obtainable two to three days in advance if not on the day of intended travel.

And at URL below has photos of these modern railcars.

It's a shame there isn't a website like this dealing with travel photos from all over Ukraine, interesting sites etc... Not the standard tourist photos, but unique structures and the people in motion.

But it would be nice to see more photos on a daily basis and in different regions of Ukraine

I'd like to see more of these old wooden frame house vs all the high rise block apartments and maybe up front and personal of people working in their gardens.

Or the meat market, fisheries, mechanics at work on these old russian relics, as one day everything will have that western european look to it.

Heck, I'd like to see some of those monuments you see on the sides of buildings of famous russians.  We could ask the russian ladies that read this site to tell us who they are and what they stand for....culture, the more you know about their culture and history the more you can see where most of them are coming from.
