Well, I am going to buy our tickets tomorrow for the summer trips. My wife, Tanya, and her son, Vlad, are going home to Crimea on Memorial Day via Austrian Air from Chicago for a price of; $862, (her) and $698 for the little guy. She'll be coming back alone in a couple weeks and then we are going over with my 77yr old father in the end of July, (same airlines, route, $1183 RT pp) and coming back in August. We've been trying to talk him into going w/ us since they got here a year and a half ago. So I'm very excited about that. He hasn't been out of the States since WW2 and then it was the South Pacific. AND, if her 71yr old mother feels well enough, she's coming back w/ us for a while if we can get her a visa. I've e-mailed the Embassy in Kiev and they, of course, gave me the "official" response, but Tanya gets info from her chat rooms that it should be no problem getting her mom a visa. I only hope we can get her a ticket here that would correspond w/ ours as she would be helpless w/o us in the "West". Any info you guys have about getting a visa or the proccess of getting one would be helpful. I plan to go right to the Embassy w/ "Mama" after we land in Kiev in July. That way I could be there in person to answer any questions they might have or to help her w/ any forms or questions. I know you can request an appointment in advance, which I will do. Thanks in advance for the help
