Probably the powdered mustard you have contains powdered horseradish. Mustard naturally is only mildly hot. I've grown many varieties and it's growing season in Texas now. The horseradish gives it the punch.

Take a walk in the woods and collect 25-30 rosehips, boil them with two pints of water, add sugar to taste for a natural refreshing drink loaded with vitamin C. Or try making tea with this mixture.

My missus also likes to collect wild watermint, prepare as above and mix a little with tea.
